Drug Search Warrant

In the early morning of December 19, 2010, Chestermere RCMP Detachment executed a drug search warrant at a residence near Stonemere Place, Chestermere, Alberta.  Several pounds of cannabis marihuana were seized as a result, along with drug paraphernalia and almost $1000 cash.  Charged are Scott Willem SCHURINK, age 26, for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of Trafficking, and Devon BRAJKOVIC, age 23, for possession of a controlled substance.  SCHURINK was released on $1000 bail and his next court appearance is January 18, 2011 in Strathmore Provincial Court.  BRAJKOVIC’s next court appearance is March 1, 2011, also in Strathmore Provincial Court.

It should be noted that the success of this search warrant is largely due to members of the public who have stepped forward.  Without their assistance through tips and reports, the police would have been unable to apprehend these individuals.  Public assistance is always appreciated, and Chestermere RCMP would like to recognize same.

I don’t support drug use or sale of illegal products but Devon Brajkovic ex girlfriend maliciously called the RCMP. Please get your facts correct before printing the news.

Oh yeah I also forgot that Scott was not present he was at a company Christmas party. So the pot could be from the person who was living there with him.

Donate to Help Vegreville Get a Portable Ultrasound Machine

The Hospital Board is taking donations through paypal to help raise funds for a portable ultrasound machine. The new machine, the Sonosite M-Turbo, is a high performance mobile ultrasound machine that doctors hope to use as a diagnostic tool in the hospital to speed up diagnosis times in patients, allowing doctors to make accurate, informed decisions about patient care in shorter time periods. The mobile ultrasound unit can be applied in areas of care such as Anesthesia, Critical Care, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Disease Management, Surgeries and more. With support from the community, this incredibly valuable tool can be added to the list of ways that St. Joseph’s General Hospital works to bring the community better health.
