A semi truck carrying a pref-bricated home clipped a motorhome on Thursday, sending both into the ditch just west of Vegreville. There were no injuries in the crash.
A semi-truck carrying a pre-fabricated home west on Highway 16 on Thursday, appears to have clipped the motorhome of a Saskatchewan family also headed west on Highway 16, putting both in the ditch a couple kilometers from Vegreville.
Vegreville RCMP said that the semi was trying to pass the motorhome during the terrible conditions on Thursday midday that brought visibility down to mere feet in the area. The RCMP said it was not clear who crossed the lane.
The semi struck the motorhome with the corner of the home on its trailer, gouging the pre-fab home and sending both the semi and motorhome into the ditch. The motorhome was towing behind it a white pickup truck that was badly damaged when it crashed into the back of the motorhome.
There were no injuries in the accident.
Over the weekend, a single car rollover was responded to along Highway 857 and the Fire Department also had a false alarm that sounded the siren.
